This Privacy Policy identifies how we collect, process, store and protect the data made available to us when providing services to our customers, using our website and performing other actions related to our activity.

Who is responsible for collecting and processing the data?

PKF Portugal, hereinafter PKF, is the entity responsible for the collection and processing of personal data, and may, within the scope of its activity, resort to entities subcontracted by it to pursue the purposes indicated here.

This Privacy Policy applies to all legal entities that operate under the PKF brand in Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe. Within the scope of its activity, PKF may use entities subcontracted for the pursuit of the purposes indicated here.

Our commitment is to protect the privacy of all data subjects who relate to us and to treat information in an open and transparent manner.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information, of any nature and regardless of its support, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is a person who can be identified directly or indirectly, namely by reference to an identification number or to one or more specific elements of his physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.

What personal data is collected and processed?

PKF collects and processes, among others, the following personal data: name, date of birth, nationality, gender, email, address, lifestyle (for example, hobbies), marital status and dependents, employment details, financial training and information.

When browsing the website, PKF may collect information about the computer, including IP address, operating system and browser used, for administrative and information aggregation purposes for our advertisers.

We can also process personal data through correspondence exchanged, within the scope of our services, with customers, suppliers, regulators, official entities and other entities in the PKF universe.

PKF assumes that the data has been provided by the data subject or that he has given authorization for that purpose and assumes that they are true and up to date.

How are personal data collected?

The collection of personal data can be done in the course of our provision of services to the data subject or through our customers, in the assessment of any services to be provided, as a user of our website or as a PKF employee.

The data collected are, in strict compliance with the legislation for the protection of personal data, processed and stored in computerized databases in specific databases, created, for this purpose, by PKF or by the entities subcontracted by it.

What is the purpose of the data collected?

What is the basis for data processing?

In accordance with the principles of data protection, PKF only processes personal data for the purposes described and if it has legal support to do so and based on the following grounds:

The processing associated with the purposes of points a) and b) is based on the contractual relationship established between the data subject and PKF.

Processing associated with purposes c) to g) is based on PKF's legitimate interests.

The treatments associated with the purposes of points h) and i) are based on the consent of the data subject or legitimate interest, if you are already our customer.

Processing associated with purpose j) is based on compliance with legal obligations.

Processing associated with purpose k) is based on the establishment of pre-contractual relationships.

With whom is the data shared?

The data collected and held by PKF may be transmitted, with respect for the duty of confidentiality and the principle of the purpose that presided over its collection, to the following entities:

a) Entities of the group in which the PKF is inserted

b) Judicial or administrative authorities, in cases where such assignment is mandatory

c) Recruitment and selection companies

d) Subcontractors who will process data on behalf of PKF and in accordance with the purposes established by PKF

What are your rights?

Under the terms of the Personal Data Protection Law, we guarantee you the right to access, update, rectify, delete, port and erase your personal data.You may also submit complaints to the National Data Protection Communication.

We also grant you the right to oppose the use of the data provided for marketing purposes, for sending informative communications or inclusion in lists or informative services.If you have not done so when collecting the data, you can send a request later.

How long is the data stored?

The period of time during which the data is stored and maintained varies according to the purpose for which the information is processed. Whenever there is no specific legal requirement, the data will be stored and kept only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes that motivated their collection or subsequent processing, after which they will be deleted.

Is the data handled securely?

PKF is committed to ensuring the protection of the security of your data. For this purpose, various security measures have been adopted, of a technical and organizational nature, in order to protect the personal data that it makes available to us against its dissemination, loss, misuse, alteration, treatment or unauthorized access, as well as against any other form illicit treatment.

PKF requires its subcontractors and partners to adopt security measures equivalent to those that it practices.

Despite the security measures practiced by PKF, the user must adopt additional security measures, namely, ensure that he uses equipment and a browser updated in terms of security, properly configured, with an active firewall, antivirus and anti-spyware and make sure of the authenticity of the sites you visit on the internet, and you should avoid websites whose reputation you do not trust.

Communications

PKF recognizes that it may communicate data of subjects within the scope of merger, acquisition and/or incorporation processes in which it finds itself, not considering this communication as a transfer of data to third parties, nor any subcontracted treatment.

PKF may also transmit data to third parties within the scope of investigations, inquiries and judicial and/or administrative proceedings or of a similar nature, provided that this is duly ordered by court order to that effect.

Data Transfer

If data transfers to third countries that do not belong to the European Union or the European Economic Area may occur, PKF will comply with the law, namely with regard to the adequacy of the destination country with regard to the protection of personal data and the requirements that are applicable to these transfers. Personal data will not be transferred to jurisdictions that do not offer guarantees of security and protection.

The use of PKF social networks may involve the transmission of data to social network service providers, which may be based outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. PKF is not responsible for the data that the user makes available on social networks.
